Crystal Ridge (formerly Rock Snowpark) is a skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing hill located within Ballpark Commons in Franklin, WI. Owned and operated separately from the rest of the complex, Crystal Ridge operates its ski season mid November through mid March. In the off season The Lodge is a wedding and event venue. Crystal Ridge is a great beginner hill for those looking to learn the sport of skiing or snowboarding. With a full service rental and snow school department we strive to introduce new participants to the sport each winter! Ticketing & Guest Services Manager - Seasonal Full-Time | Now Hiring
Essential Job Functions: +21yrs | prior management/supervisor experience

- Hire, schedule and train all ticketing and guest service staff
- Oversee our POS, e-commerce,
- Become familiar with skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing processes

- Oversee all aspects of preparing and completing season pass sales including coordinating marketing efforts with the Marketing Director
- Effectively communicate with customers via phone, email and in person

Position Overview: The Ticketing and Guest Services manager is the go to person for all ticketing, season passes, and customer services questions. This position is directly involved with developing solutions for the overall improvement of ticket and pass sales systems and operating procedures. This position requires working five or more days a week including weekends, holidays and evenings during winter operations (Nov. 1 - Mid March). This manager is responsible for training and scheduling a staff of 10-20 people that are all experts on our products and offerings. A high level of customer service and communication skills are a must. This manager will be able to troubleshoot on the fly, understand our business and products and support growing ticket and pass sales. This position does not require previous skiing or snowboarding experience, however you will need to understand the basics and how our ski hill operates and the different aspects of the sport.
The Ticketing and Guest Services manager also assists with inside operations of The Lodge such as overall cleanliness and opening/closing tasks. This position works very closely with the General Manager and Office Manager and Food & Beverage Manager.

Rentals Manager - Seasonal Full-Time | Now Hiring

Position Overview: We can’t teach the sport of skiing and snowboarding without the proper equipment. Our rental department is extremely important to our everyday operation, especially to those learning the sport. The rental manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rental building, scheduling, training and working alongside rental staff. This manager should enjoy working both inside and outside, working with their hands and be familiar with basic shop tools. The rental manager ensures guests are getting fitted with the proper equipment as well as providing excellent customer service. This position requires prior customer service experience and the individual should have some prior experience with skiing or snowboarding. The rental manager will report directly to the General Manager. It is of utmost importance that each guest feels cared for and comfortable in their rental equipment.
This manager will work very closely with the Snow School manager as these two departments are in the same building. Strong communication and group work skills are a must. The rental manager and department staff also take lead in the overall appearance of the lodge grounds (snow removal, trash, etc). We are in the business of creating lifelong skiers and snowboards, you can be a part of that customer's journey during their rental experience!
This is a full time, seasonal position. Work typically begins mid October and ends mid March. The manager is expected to be on site before, during and sometimes after operating hours. Operations Member - Full-Time Year Round | Now Hiring
Essential Job Functions: +18yrs | relative experience required
- Pay is hourly and depends on experience (starting at $18/hr)
- Work outside with a small team and by yourself
- Requires heavy lifting, minimum of 50 pounds, sometimes above shoulder level
- Experience in heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair is preferred
- Diesel and gas engine repair and troubleshooting experience is preferred

- Prior shop experience and familiarity with hand and power tools
Position Overview: The operations team is responsible for ensuring all hill equipment and lifts are functioning properly. This position will assist in service and preventative maintenance of all heavy equipment, snow plowing equipment, snowmaking equipment, small engine, chair and surface lifts systems, snow grooming vehicles and implements. During the winter season, experience in working in harsh weather conditions is useful, as hours may be long and weather is unpredictable. Other duties include basic woodworking, welding, landscaping, snow removal, and snow cat operating. This position works with a small team (3-6) and must be willing to help out wherever needed.
This outside ops position is a full-time, year round position with heavier hours during the winter and lighter in the summer. Winter hours can vary from 40-60hrs a week November - mid March. The ski hill operates 7 days a week. Weeknights and weekends are required. Summer months work weeks are typically 30-40hrs Monday - Friday, April - October. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and General Manager. If you enjoy working with your hands, fixing and troubleshooting equipment (or are a passionate skier/snowboarder) then this position is for you! F&B Supervisor/Shift Lead - Seasonal Part-Time

Position Overview: Our cafe staff is responsible for meeting customers’ needs in terms of food and beverage, as well as ensuring clean and sanitary conditions of the lodge area. Duties as a cafe supervisor include but are not limited to training on food prep, operating a fryer and/or oven, operating a cash register, cleaning, restocking items and putting away and organizing orders. A key role will be leading a team through opening and/or closing procedures. Organization and cleanliness are a must!
We are looking for an individual with previous F&B experience to help assist our F&B manager in this department. The cafe supervisor will be able to lead shifts when the F&B manager is not onsite. Lift Operator - Seasonal Part-Time
Essential Job Functions: +18yrs | Starting $14/hr
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Ensuring guests remain SAFE at all times while using our lifts
- Physically holding chairs while guests load and unload chairlifts

Position Overview: Lift operators are in constant contact with our guests and must be friendly and helpful when greeting and assisting them. You will be outside, sometimes for your entire shift, in all types of weather. You must be agile on soft and hard-packed snow surfaces and able to walk safely down the slopes. You will at times be performing basic lift maintenance and clearing snow. You will work the Magic Carpet lift in the tubing area, and you may be scheduled to work as a tubing attendant during weekday “special open” events for school groups. Lift operators are responsible for making sure customers have a safe and enjoyable experience while using the lifts at Crystal Ridge.
Lift ops are often some of the first employees our guests interact with - friendly customer service is a must!
Lodge Guest Services (Ticketing or Food & Beverage Departments)

Position Overview: Lodge Guest Services consist of our Ticketing/Guest Services department and our Food & Beverage department.
Our ticketing/guest services department is a wealth of knowledge on all aspects of the customer journey and our products. This department will help solve problems and sell the correct tickets to ensure the customer is set up for success. Ticket scanners will physciall check tickets (RFID) out on the hill to ensure a valid ticket scan. Excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality is a must (+16yr).
The Food & Beverage department consists of our Cafe (+14yr) and Bar (+21yr). Both very customer focused positions, these departments provide our guests with a bite to eat or a beverage after some laps out on the hill. Kitchen positions (+18yrs) will be responsible for preparing quick-order style foods while ensuring food safety and quality is at the forefront. The Lodge bar is a full-service bar providing mixed drinks, canned, bottled and tap beer, hot chocolate and more. Bartenders are typically working by themselves or with one other bartender.

Rentals Staff Member - Seasonal Part-Time

Position Overview: Rentals staff is in charge of providing guests with ski and snowboarding equipment, which is fit to each individual’s size and ability. This may include skis or a snowboard, boots, poles and/or a helmet. It is of utmost importance that each guest feels cared for and comfortable in their rental equipment. No prior experience is required (however an interest in skiing/snowboarding is a plus) , as all training will be paid and conducted through Crystal Ridge. It is of utmost importance that each guest feels cared for and comfortable in their rental equipment. Other job requirements include but are not limited to: general cleaning of the lodge, shoveling snow and salting, emptying outside trash cans and assisting in other departments such as tubing on busy days.
Snow School Instructor - Seasonal Part-Time
Essential Job Functions: +14yrs
- Previous skiing and/or snowboarding ability preferred

- Attend mandatory clinics, virtual trainings, and online self study

Position Overview: Interested in teaching people how to enjoy the sport you love? Join the Crystal Ridge Snow School team! All are encouraged to apply, whether or not you have previous experience in teaching skiing or snowboarding. Teaching experience is not required and will be taught during pre-season training. There will be required instructor training clinics for all instructors – usually beginning in November and ongoing throughout the season. This is one of the few jobs where you can get paid to ski/board!
Instructors work in high visibility positions and are expected to be friendly, courteous focused, and patient at all times. Instructors teach a variety of lessons including private lessons, group lessons, and teach in our Terrain Based Learning area. Instructors work with learners of all ages and demographics. Snow School instructors are an extremely important position; you can be the reason someone decides to ski or snowboard for the rest of their life!
Snow Tubing Attendant - Seasonal Part-Time

- Must be able to pull loaded snow tubes across the snow
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Position Overview: Tubing attendants are in constant contact with our guests and must possess friendly and helpful personalities. Attendants will perform all opening, operating and closing procedures at the Tubing Park. They will assist customers at the top and the bottom of the hill with getting into and out of snow tubes. It is the tubing attendants' responsibility to ensure customers have a safe and memorable experience! This position requires you to be vocal and interact with the guests - don't be shy! (limited availability for those 16yr and younger)
Terrain Park Staff - Seasonal Part-Time
Essential Job Functions: +18yrs | $14/hr
- Greet and provide outstanding guest services at all times
- Inspect, shape and test terrain park features when instructed to do so
- Maintain terrain park features by raking and shoveling features
- Assist lift operations, snowmaking and other outside departments. Being a team player is required of this position, you will be cross trained in lift ops.
- Ensure take offs are groomed/raked each night so they can properly set up for the next day
- Properly document and record daily inspections and repair features as needed
- Educate guests on safety and proper use and etiquette of the terrain parks if improper use on features is seen
- Follow a build plan to efficiently reset or build new features in our parks
Position Overview: Terrain Park Staff are to create and maintain terrain park features including take offs, jumps and other features, and maintaining all signage, markings, and safety features of the terrain parks. Features support rider progression and provide on hill entertainment to a wide variety of skiing/snowboarding skill levels. This position requires the employee to have prior experience/knowledge of freestyle skiing and snowboarding. As a terrain park employee your primary responsibility is to our terrain parks, however, given the nature of the workload and our ski area, terrain park staff will also assist in the lift and hill operations departments. Skiing and snowboarding while on shift is strictly prohibited.
There are two primary roles within the terrain park department - rake shifts and build shifts. Both are paid hourly.
Rake Shifts: Scheduled for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays & Holiday Hours. These are shifts that take place while we are open, maintaining the already existing features and interacting with our guests. You may be scheduled by yourself or one other park crew member. Weeknight (Mon-Thu) park staff will be scheduled as a lift operator, working lifts until close then completing a closing maintenance rake lap on the terrain parks.
Build Shifts: These shifts take place roughly once a week and are typically during the day before the hill is open to the public (or take place at close). These shifts consist of working with the snow cat operator and other park staff to build and set the features in the park. (Shoveling, raking, & sculpting). This is outside physical labor in all types of weather conditions.
